Events we're organizing

Our next regular meeting takes place on Sunday, 12 June 2022. The topic of this week's discussion will be longtermism: Should we rather try to help people who live in our time? Or should we focus on a possibly much higher number of humans and other sentient beings in the long-term future? Longtermism in an ethical school of thought that argues for the latter. It sees the long-term consequences of our actions, for instance for the survival of our species or the development of dystopian futures, as the dominant aspect in ethical considerations.

We begin as usual at 19:00 in Treffpunkt Freiburg. You will need a door code to enter the building, so if you are not yet receiving our announcements, just contact us and we will e-mail it to you! We hope to see many of you there, to learn how to learn more.
